Celebrities like beautiful weather, blue water and palm trees too, so it’s no surprise that some of the world’s wealthiest make their homes in Palm Beach County.
From Forbes 2015 list of the World’s Highest-Paid Celebrities, we counted six with local addresses.
(Rankings include money made from June 1, 2014 to June 1, 2015.)
#5 is Howard Stern, the King of All Media, who Forbes says earned $95 million last year and moved to Palm Beach in 2014.
#7 is novelist James Patterson, with $89 million in earnings. He also lives in Palm Beach.
So does #11, radio talker Rush Limbaugh with $79 million.
#37 is Jupiter Island’s Tiger Woods with $50.5 million.
#41 is another golfer, Rory McIlroy who earned $48.5 million last year, part of that from winning the Honda Classic near his home in Palm Beach Gardens.
#62 is the chief Parrothead himself, Jimmy Buffet, who still maintains property in Palm Beach. Buffet made $36 million last year, according to Forbes.
Surprisingly, neither part-time Wellington resident Bruce Springsteen or Palm Beach Gardens-based tennis superstars Venus and Serena Williams made the 2015 Forbes list.
