Leave the toaster at home, one “Modern Family” co-star says she has other gift plans for Sofia Vergara.
In a recent interview with E! Online, Julie Bowen revealed what present she was bringing for co-star Vergara, who is marrying “Magic Mike XXL” star Joe Manganiello at The Breakers in Palm Beach. While the couple has asked for no gifts, instead requesting guests to donate to charity, Bowen says she still is bringing something — but probably not what Vergara and Manganiello think.
“I’ll get them something funny. I’ll give to those charities,” she said. “But I want to get them something silly like maybe a paint by numbers nude of the two of them.”
As for her preparation for the big day, Bowen is confident in Vergara. “She’s like a bride,” she said. “She keeps saying she’s bridezilla, but I think she’s much more in control. She plays that card but she’s a cool customer.”
Vergara said she is a “bridezilla” in the past, but E! reports that with the help of Mindy Weiss, celebrity wedding planner, she has been able to keep the day in check. “I am very detail-oriented so I am kind of like a nightmare,” Vergara said. “I have a very good memory. If you show me swatches of things, I can in two months exactly remember, ‘What happened with the one with the little border that had the little print?’ I’m like, really bad.”
